From September 2004 the school has undergone a restructuring to enable more effective pastoral and academic oversight of pupils. It is in response to the increasing numbers on roll, that has seen the school grow from 450 in 1998 to 950 in 2004.

The school will be divided into Upper and Lower School. Head of Upper School (years 10 – 13) is Mr Bown and Head of Lower School (years 9 – 13) is Miss James. Their role will be to give strategic oversight to Lower and Upper school and to manage the Heads of Year. Heads of Year have specific responsibility for the welfare of approximately 150 pupils in their care and will liase closely with form tutors, subject teachers, parents and pupils.

Heads of Year are:

Year 13 – Mrs Breen

Year 12 – Mrs Parfitt

Year 11 – Miss Wood

Year 10 – Mr Regulski

Year 9 – Mr Morgans

Year 8 – Miss Roberts

Year 7 – Miss Tothill

In addition to the Heads of School and Heads of Year, Mrs Verren is the newly appointed Pupil Support and Guidance Manager. The Academic Board has been established to ensure that a single forum exists where the social, academic and pastoral needs of pupils can be addressed. Heads of School, Leadership Group, SEN Manager and the Pupil Support and Guidance Manager constitute membership of the Academic Board.
